The shoulder girdle provides proximal stability essential for efficient upper-extremity movement and hand muscle force generation. Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) and shoulder girdle stabilization exercises aim to improve proximal stability, neuromuscular coordination, and force transmission through the upper-extremity kinetic chain. This narrative review aimed to examine the effectiveness of shoulder girdle neuromuscular stabilization exercises on hand muscle strength among healthy young individuals. A literature search was conducted using PubMed, Google Scholar, ResearchGate, ScienceDirect, and other accessible academic sources for studies published between 2015 and 2025. Seven relevant studies were reviewed. The findings demonstrated improvements in handgrip strength, proximal shoulder stability, neuromuscular coordination, and upper-extremity function following stabilization-based exercises. The evidence suggests that improved proximal stability may enhance hand muscle performance. Further high-quality studies with larger samples are recommended.
