Three groups of twenty triticale advanced lines were evaluated separately – each group in a different crop season- for their reaction to black point under natural conditions at the Norman E. Borlaug Experimental Station in the Yaqui Valley, Mexico, during crop seasons 2014-2015, 2015-2016, and 2018-2019. Sowing dates for each group were November 19 and 28, 2014, 12 and 19, 2015, and 12 and 22, 2018, respectively. Healthy and infected grains in ten spikes per line were counted. In 2014-2015, infection in the first date ranged from 0 to 13.59 %, with an average of 2.33, and for the second date 0 to 19.9 %, with an average of 3.52. In 2015-2016, infection in the first date ranged from 0.31 to 45.59 %, with an average of 13.08, and for the second date 0.44 to 42.27 %, with an average of 11.69. In 2018-2019, infection in the first date ranged from 0 to 44.73 %, with an average of 4.35, and for the second date 0 to 8.35 %, with an average of 1.15. Lines with the highest average percentage of infection in each crop season were WIR46058/GNU_1//ERIZO_11 /3/SVHT02/STIER_3/4/WIR46058/GNU_1//ERIZO_11/5/NESSER/6/CAGUAN_4-1/FAHAD_5/7/NIMIR_3/ERIZO_12 /5/GC.3/733.EB//MPE/3/LAMB_3/4/BUF_2/6/POLLMER_2/8/BAT*2/BCN//CAAL/3/ERIZO_7/BAGAL_2// FARAS_1 with 10.31 %, TURACO/CENT.SARDEV/7/LIRON_2/5/DISB5/3/SPHD/PVN//YOGUI_6/4/KER_3/6/ BULL_10/MANATI_1/8/LIRON_2/5/DISB5/3/SPHD/PVN//YOGUI_6/4/KER_3/6/BULL_10/MANATI_1/9/BICEN with 38.36 %, and 804/BAT/3/MUSX/LYNX//STIER_12-3/4/VARSA_3-1/5/FAHAD_8-1*2//HARE_263/CIVET/9/BICEN /8/SUSI_2/5/TAPIR/YOGUI_1//2*MUSX/3/ERIZO_7/4/FARAS_1/6/VARSA_2/7/754.3/IBEX//BUF_2/10/ T1505_WG//ERIZO_10/BULL_1-1/3/ERIZO_10/BULL_1-1/4/COPI_1/5/ARDI_1/TOPO1419//ERIZO with 26.54 %, respectively.
